Snipzr provides free, ready-to-use short domains for all users. No setup required!

What are Snipzr Default Domains?​

Snipzr Default Domains (also called global zones internally) are short domains provided by Snipzr that you can use immediately to create short links.

Available Domains​

All Snipzr users have access to these domains:

  • snipzr.com
  • zor.fi

How to Use Default Domains​

  1. From Links, click "Create New" ("+" icon)
  2. Paste your destination URL (URL to shorten)
  3. Select a domain (Zone) from the dropdown
    • Default: snipzr.com
    • Choose any available Snipzr domain
  4. Click "Create Link"

Your link is ready instantly:

https://snipzr.com/abc123

Changing the Default Domain​

You can set which Snipzr domain is used by default:

  1. Go to Zones → Your Zones
  2. Find your preferred domain
  3. Choose "Set as Default"

Now all new links will use this domain automatically (but you can still change it per link).

Technical Details​

What's a "Global Zone"?​

When you see "zone" in the Snipzr interface, think "domain for short links."

  • Global zones = Snipzr's default domains (shared by all users)
  • User zones = Your custom domains (available on every plan)

Each zone (domain) is a container where you can create short links.

All links created with Snipzr domains follow this format:

https://[domain]/[slug]

Examples:
https://snipzr.com/summer-sale
https://zor.fi/docs

Slug Uniqueness​

Slugs (the part after /) must be unique per domain:

✅ Allowed:

  • snipzr.com/sale
  • zor.fi/sale (same slug, different domain)

❌ Not allowed:

  • snipzr.com/sale (already exists)
  • snipzr.com/sale (duplicate)

Frequently Asked Questions​

Yes! You can mix and match. Each link can use any available domain.

Can I remove the Snipzr branding?​

To use your own branded domain (like go.yourbrand.com), connect a custom domain. Every plan includes at least one custom domain, the Free plan too.

Are Snipzr domains permanent?​

Not necessarily, Snipzr may change or retire default domains in the future. In case of a domain retirement, Snipzr will provide advance notice.

Depends on your plan (the allowance counts new links created per month; existing links keep working and redirecting forever):

  • Free: 30 new links per month
  • Pro: 500 new links per month
  • Team: 5,000 new links per month

Analytics tracked events (human-classified clicks and QR scans) have their own monthly allowance: Free 5,000, Pro 100,000, Team 500,000. Bot traffic never counts. Over the limit, clicks keep being recorded; the current period's analytics view locks until you upgrade, and upgrading unlocks everything already collected.
