Snipzr vs Dub: the $9 alternative to a $30 Pro plan

Dub is the modern developer favorite: a clean API, deep link features and an open-source core. It is also priced for funded teams. Pro is $30 a month with 50,000 tracked events and one year of analytics view; the free plan meters tracked events at 1,000 a month. Snipzr Pro is $9 a month with 100,000 tracked events and a two-year view, and both products keep a real API and an MCP server, so the automation story is not the difference. The price is.

Where the two price tags separate

  1. Paid entry: $30 against $9

Dub Pro is $30 a month, billed monthly, for 1,000 new links and 50,000 tracked events with a one-year analytics view. Snipzr Pro is $9 for 500 links, 100,000 events and a two-year view.

  2. The free plans meter differently

Dub Free is 25 links and 1,000 tracked events a month with a 30-day view, plus 3 custom domains. Snipzr Free is 30 links and 5,000 tracked events a month with per-day analytics, a 30-day view and your own domain.

  3. Team pricing is a different league

Dub Business is $90 a month for 10 users and 10,000 links. Snipzr Team is $29 for 10 seats, 5,000 links and unlimited free viewer seats with live reports.

  4. The Snipzr position

Flat founding prices locked forever, links that never expire, edits never metered, cookie-less analytics on every plan, and a 12-tool MCP server on every paid plan. If the feature you need is a link that works and numbers you can trust, the $9 plan carries it.

When Dub is genuinely the better pick

Dub ships link features we do not have today: A/B testing on destinations, geo and device targeting, deep links into apps, link folders, and a partner-payouts platform on top. The core is open source, which matters if self-hosting is a requirement. If those capabilities are on your list, Dub earns its price. If they are not, you are paying the difference for a logo.

Moving from Dub?

The import wizard brings your links over in about five minutes: titles, back-halves on your own domain, created dates, and a report of every row.

Questions

Common questions

Can I move my links from Dub to Snipzr?
Yes. Export your links from Dub as a spreadsheet and drop the file into the import wizard; it reads plain CSVs and shows you every row before anything is created. On your own domain the back-halves are kept exactly.
How can Snipzr be this much cheaper?
A narrower product and smaller machinery. We do links, analytics, QR codes, campaigns and the API, and we do not run a payouts platform. Founding prices are locked to your subscription forever, in writing.
Does Snipzr work with AI assistants the way Dub does?
Yes. Every paid plan includes our remote MCP server with 12 tools: your assistant can create and edit links, read stats and build UTM links from Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients.
