Move your links

Move your Bitly links in minutes

Available nowFree, quota appliesAbout 5 minutes

Paste your Bitly access token, or upload the CSV if your Bitly plan can export one. We keep what matters and put every link on your domain or ours, with cookie-less analytics. Nothing expires, and nothing ever stands between a click and your page.

Imports count toward your plan’s monthly link allowance: 30 on Free, 500 on Pro at $9 a month, 5,000 on Team at $29. On your own domain or ours, on every plan.

What we keep

Your links arrive the way you left them

Titles
Every link keeps its name, so your dashboard reads like your old one.
Back-halves on your domain
On your own domain the part after the slash is kept exactly, so printed material stays valid.
Created dates
Your history stays in order. Analytics start counting from import day.
A report of every row
Every line of your file ends up in a report you can download, including anything that was skipped and why.

Why people move

Where Bitly draws the line

Links per month
The free plan allows 5 new short links and 3 custom back-halves a month. The first paid tier allows 100 links a month for $10 a month billed annually.
Edits per month
Changing where a link points is metered: none at all on Free, 5 redirect changes a month on Core, 20 on Growth, 110 on Premium. A typo in a printed QR code can cost you a month's allowance.
Your own domain
A complimentary custom domain arrives with Growth at $29 a month, billed as $348 a year.

Setup

Three steps, one coffee

1
Paste your Bitly access token
In Bitly, open Settings, then Developer settings, then API, and copy your access token. It works on every Bitly plan, including the ones that cannot export a file. If you sign in to Bitly with Google or Apple, set a Bitly password first; their token page asks for one. On Growth and above you can drop the CSV export in instead.
2
Check what will happen
You see real rows before anything is created: which links keep their back-half, which get renamed and which are skipped, each with the reason.
3
Import and get the report
The import runs in the background; you can close the page. Every row lands in a downloadable report, and every link goes through the same safety checks as one you create by hand.

Printed material

Keep printed QR codes working

A QR code on a flyer encodes a full short link. If that link lives on your own domain, moving the domain to Snipzr keeps every printed code alive.

  1. 1Add your domain in Snipzr. Custom domains are on every plan, including Free.
  2. 2Import your links. On your own domain every back-half is kept exactly.
  3. 3Point the domain at Snipzr. It verifies and gets its certificate automatically, usually well within the hour, and your links answer here.

Common questions

Before you move

Will my old Bitly links keep working?
Links on Bitly’s shared domain stay with Bitly and follow its rules. Links on your own domain resolve through Snipzr once the domain points here and finishes verifying, usually well within the hour, with the same back-halves.
What happens to links over my quota?
The check screen shows exactly how many fit before anything is created. The links that fit are created in file order; the rest are listed in the report so you can import them next month, or upgrade to Pro for 500 a month and bring them all at once.
Do you store my file or my token?
The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. A pasted token is used for the one fetch and never stored. What we keep is the links you create and a per-row report you can download.
Can I import into a team workspace?
Yes. Start the import from inside the workspace, and the links and the report belong to that workspace.

Bring your links. Leave the meters.
