Workspaces and Member Roles
Every Snipzr account is a workspace. When you sign up, you get a personal workspace that owns your links, short domains, analytics and subscription. Working solo, you never have to think about it. When you invite people, that same workspace becomes a shared one: no migration, no new URLs, nothing moves.
The four roles
| Capability | Owner | Admin | Member | Viewer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| View analytics and export CSV | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Create and edit links, QR codes, UTM links | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Manage short domains | ✓ | ✓ | ||
| Manage API tokens | ✓ | ✓ | ||
| Invite and manage members | ✓ | ✓ | ||
| Manage billing and the plan | ✓ | |||
| Delete the workspace | ✓ |
A few rules keep this predictable:
- A workspace always has at least one Owner. The last Owner can never be removed or demoted, and Owners are never suspended by plan changes.
- Nobody can grant a role above their own. An Admin can invite Members and other Admins, but cannot touch an Owner or promote anyone to Owner.
- Admins never change your bill silently. If an Admin's invite would add a paid seat, it waits in a one-click approval queue for the Owner first.
Seats and viewers
Only Owners, Admins and Members occupy seats. Viewers are always free and unlimited on the Team plan: they see analytics and can export CSV, nothing else. Viewer seats are a Team feature; the Free plan has a single seat and the Pro plan includes three.
The Team plan includes 10 seats in its base price. Each additional seat is billed per month (or per year on annual billing), prorated from the moment an invitation is accepted. Pending invitations are never billed.
What happens on downgrades
Plan changes never delete anything. If a workspace moves to a plan with fewer seats, the newest members beyond the new allowance are paused: their links and analytics stay intact, and upgrading reactivates them instantly. A manual downgrade below your current member count is blocked; remove members first, so nothing surprising happens to your team.
